The #1Northern Division is one of the oldest divisions in the Thousand Lakes Region of the NMRA. For many years, it operated as part of the Winnipeg Model Railroad Club. In 2008, the Division formed its own executive and became an organization independent of the Winnipeg Model Railroad  Club. In 2010, the division hosted the TLR's regional convention, "Steam on the Prairies" in Winnipeg. It was the most successful TLR convention in over a decade, with 145 persons attending. The division holds an annual model railway convention on the first Saturday of November.

 

The No. 1 Northern Division is a Canadian division of the TLR, and a proud member of the NMRA and NMRA Canada.



We proudly exhibit the display that you see the image to the right, as we welcome ALL GAUGES to our club, from G to Z. This display was designed and built by the late Harold Weston, a division member who was also the proprietor of the Golden Spike Hobby Shop in Winnipeg.
