The #1 Northern Division
Conventions
Our Division has hosted many successful conventions. In 1983, we hosted the NMRA National Convention in Winnipeg. We've held regional conventions in 1988, 2000, and 2010. Our 2010 convention, "Steam on the Prairies" was the most successful TLR convention in 10 years, boasting 145 attendants. Highlights of the convention included rides on the Assiniboine Valley Railway, the Prairie Dog Central, and a visit to the Canadian Pacific Railway Heritage Park and Interpretive Centre in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba. A dozen clinics were presented, including ones by Morgan Turney of Canadian Railway Modeller and Suzanne Lemon of Railfan Canada. Below is a slide show featuring highlights of our 2010 convention.
